The board counts unique friends from Monday 00:00 UTC until the next Monday 00:00 UTC. Last week's friends do not carry over. Your link stays the same. There is no cash prize. Rank, banner range and any unclaimed banner reset with it.
Why UTC and not my local time?
ViralRefer is open worldwide, so the week needs one clock for everyone. UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is the standard reference with no daylight saving shifts. Everyone's week starts at the same moment, wherever they live.
The practical effect: in the Americas the reset falls on Sunday afternoon or evening local time. In much of Asia and Australia it falls on Monday morning. The homepage clock is the source of truth, and the week clock tool shows it in your time zone.
What is Monday 00:00 UTC in my time zone?
Take your offset from UTC and apply it. A few examples, which change when daylight saving starts or ends where you live:
- New York in winter is UTC-5, so the reset is Sunday 7:00 PM.
- Chicago in winter is UTC-6, so the reset is Sunday 6:00 PM.
- London in winter is UTC+0, so the reset is midnight Sunday into Monday.
- Lagos is UTC+1, so the reset is Monday 1:00 AM.
- Mumbai is UTC+5:30, so the reset is Monday 5:30 AM.
If in doubt, use the clock on the homepage rather than doing math.
What resets each week?
- This week's verified friend count on the live board.
- Rank, and who is in range for the Challenger strip and the 7-day banner.
- Any unclaimed banner for the week that just ended.
What does not reset?
- Your referral link. Keep sending the same /r/ URL.
- A banner already claimed. It stays up for its full 7 days.
- The rules: a visit or a copy is still not a credit.
How should I plan my week?
Because the board starts at zero for everyone, the start of the week is a fair moment to send. A simple rhythm: send your link to a few people early in the week, follow up once midweek with anyone who said they would try, and check your rank a day before the reset so you do not miss a claim. What should I do on the last day of the week?
- Check your rank and friend count.
- If you are #1 with 3 friends and not the operator, claim the banner now.
- If you have 2 friends, make sure your text line is set.
- Note the reset time in your own zone for next week.
Because the reset is the same moment for everyone, nobody gets extra time by living in a different zone. A racer in Tokyo and a racer in Chicago have exactly the same seven days, even though their calendars show different dates when it starts.
