Site Drops put your website on the viralrefer.app homepage as you climb. Pasting a site gets a short Just entered chip. Every rung after that needs unique friends who open your link and tap Get my link. There is no cash prize.
What is a Site Drop?
A Site Drop is a timed, labeled spot for your website on the live ViralRefer homepage. It is not an ad you buy and it is not a downloadable badge. It appears because people you sent your link to took the same first step you took: they tapped Get my link.
The ladder exists so that every share has a reason to happen now. A plain leaderboard only rewards the person in first place. The ladder rewards the climb, so a racer with one real friend still gets an hour of homepage attention.
What are the five Site Drop rungs?
- Just entered (about 15 minutes). Get your free referral link, paste a real website, and a Just entered chip can show on the homepage. This is the only rung that needs no friend.
- Rising Site Drop (about 1 hour). When your first verified friend taps Get my link, you can claim a Rising card on the homepage.
- Week text line. Two verified friends unlock a text line with your website for the rest of the UTC week.
- Challenger strip. If you rank #2 or #3 on the board with a site on file, you can appear near the banner.
- 7-day banner. This week's #1 who is not the site operator, with at least 3 verified friends, can claim the homepage banner for 7 days.
What counts as a verified friend?
A verified friend is a unique person who opens your /r/ link and taps Get my link on that page. That is the only action that moves you. Opening, refreshing, copying, viewing the QR code, or tapping your own link from the same browser all count as zero. The full rule is in when a referral counts.
This is deliberate. If visits counted, anyone could buy visits and the ladder would mean nothing. See why visits don't count for the reasoning.
How do I climb the ladder in practice?
- Tap Get my referral link on the homepage. No email or account.
- Paste your website right away so every rung has a real destination.
- Send the link to a few people who already talk to you, with one honest sentence about what it is.
- Check the board. When a friend taps Get my link, claim the rung you unlocked before its window ends.

What are Site Drops not?
Site Drops are not cash and not a payout. They are not the promoter listing on /go/affiliates/, and they are not the paid, labeled Featured Partner slot. Those are separate doors, explained in Featured Partner vs the free race and promoter vs racer.
The board resets every Monday at 00:00 UTC, so rungs two through five are earned again each week. See when the week resets.

Do I need a website to race?
No. You can race without one. But every Site Drop rung shows a website, so without a site you have nothing to display when you climb.
How long does each Site Drop last?
Just entered is about 15 minutes, Rising is about 1 hour, the week text line lasts the rest of the UTC week, and the banner lasts 7 days once claimed.
Can I skip rungs?
Yes. Rungs depend on your friend count and rank, not on claiming the rung below. A racer who reaches #1 with 3 friends can claim the banner directly.
Is a Site Drop a backlink deal?
No promises are made about search value. A Site Drop is homepage visibility for real visitors, not an SEO product.
