Board rank is a public count of verified friends this week. The operator can sit there. That number is information.
Contest prize is a 7-day homepage banner for a racer’s website. The operator and the operator’s contest code cannot claim it. Text-line prizes work the same way. Written in the official rules (updated 22 August 2026).

If you do not claim before Monday UTC, that week’s banner is gone. A claimed banner stays up for 7 days even into the next week. Features are not cash and not transferable.
Why the house is banned
Leaderboards die in three ways: the owner wins, cash draws farms, or “#1” is a visit counter anyone can buy. ViralRefer blocks all three. No cash. Visits don’t count. Operator cannot take the banner.
There is a separate “Picked by ViralRefer” site the operator may show. That is not a contest prize and does not replace the weekly banner or text lines.
Fair play, in one line: we verify credits server-side. Self-referrals, bots, and shared-device farms do not count. Hidden abuse is not a cash decision and does not make the operator the contest winner.

If the owner is #1, did they steal the race?
No. Rank can be the operator. The banner cannot. Look for this week’s top racer who is not the owner, with at least 3 friends, and the Claim control.
Can the owner approve or deny my banner?
There is no owner review and no approval step for a valid claim. The operator may hide a banner or text line that is abusive or unsafe.
Is this a lottery?
No. No purchase. No random draw. No cash. Rank is a skill action: unique friends tapping Get my link. Open worldwide, 18+.
